-
@gingerssnap cool. it's possible that one or both of us will flake, so pencil it in, but don't whip out the biro! will let you know.
-
@FOLK10 if you're a comic geek they're great. the only problem is that comics are more expensive than tv. and they take up more room, too…
-
the cycle ride over to @MirandaQuammie 's house is fine, cause it's all down a steep hill. but, the trip home is a motherfucker. ouch.
-
@gingerssnap cool. we talked tonight about the potential of the green note in camden on tuesday. you about?

@tiggermouse @mirandaquammie yup, was a massive hit in australia last year, so i got to hear about it a lot… you have the album?

I want one!
So performing with a loop pedal is growing very popular of late. Its literally a shock if you go to an acoustic gig these days and someone isn’t using one! Loop pedals are a great way for solo artists to create a fuller sound on stage, introduce percussion and create these gorgeous vocal layers that make you want to die and go to musical heaven!
But for me there is already enough going on onstage and focusing on vocals and playing the guitar is enough work for my simple brain. I still wanted to add a percussive element to my live sets and the most natural thing I could find was one of these bad boys, a Logarhythm. I first heard about them from Chris Ransome, guitarist from Fear No Fish. We were preparing for one of my acoustic gigs at the Bedford, London in 2010. We plugged in this small wooden box and discovered that it could create the beefiest or quite a subtle replication of a kick drum.
A lot of my songs are quite rhythmically driven and now that I play all of my sets solo, I thought it was time to purchase a Logarhythm of my own. I usually use it in quite a simple way to support the pulse of some of my tracks but check out the impressive Katie Marie at work!
“Now that every human being on earth
has a camera phone, where are all those
UFO pictures? Remember you used to see
those pictures. Some guy just happened to
have a Polaroid when the UFOs appeared?“Either it was all bullshit or my theory
is that the martians have decided, “Don’t
go down there, man. All those fuckers
have cameras now.”
Two 90s legends singing a song about… the 90s… Should be amazing! Right? Right? Wait, where did you go?
In the 90s every second song was about how rubbish men are. I miss that.
Weird fact - Billie Piper recorded this song as a b-side to one of her singles. Weird.
The Simpsons is going to reach 500 episodes this year. That’s quite a few, isn’t it?
One of my favourite characters from the show is the monobrow baby who is always feuding with Maggie. Awww….
I was up in the nose-bleed section at this gig, feeling jealous and happy for Declan…
Growing up as an only-child, Miss Doodles never really learned how to share.
Slowly…almost there…just one more…step…DIE BITCH!
Miri made a music video! Whoop whoop! Have a watch and tell her if you enjoy it!
